IMF exec says Russia has enough funds to service sovereign debt
WASHINGTON, Mar 22 (PRIME) -- Russia has enough funds to service its sovereign debt, Gita Gopinath, first deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said in an interview to Foreign Policy magazine aired on Tuesday.
Russia has been making payments on its external debt so far, and it has the necessary U.S. dollars to do that. Still, the situation around Ukraine makes rules for conducting of these payments unclear, so there are certain risks for that, she said.
